PRODUCT INFORMATION / REVIEWS:

Some of the big thrills in the late 30's and early 40's and SO's was hearing the great tenor men at jam with the popularity of jazz at jam sessions. Today with the popularity of jazz, all the super tenor men are busy working all over the country doing their own thing and it's very seldom you get the chance to hear a group of the best.

This collection, you the opportunity to hear three young, marvelous players. Scott Hamilton, Peter Loeb, and Bennie Wallace, join three seasoned greats, Flip Phillips, Frank Sokolow, and Ray Turner, for a medley of ballads and a rousing swinger. The All Star Tenors are backed by an All Star rhythm section of Ronnie Bedford at the drums, Howie Collins playing rhythm guitar, George Mraz on bass, and Derek Smith on piano.
